Bio

Tracey Snelling (Oakland, 1970) is a mixed media artist. She currently lives and works in Berlin. She studied Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.

As a mixed media artist, she employs sculpture, video, photography and installation. Her artworks derives from voyeurism, film noir, geographical and architectural location, providing her personal impression and perception of places, people and experiences.

Snelling has exhibited in international galleries, museums and institutions, including the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Palazzo Reale, Milan; Museum of Arts and Design, New York; Kunstmuseem Krefeld, Germany; El Museo de Arte de Banco de la Republica, Bogota; and the Stenersen Museet, Oslo.

Her work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX; Baltimore Museum of Art; the Margulies Collection, Miami, FL; the West Collection, Oaks, PA; and 21c Museum, Louisville, KY.
